Unveiling the Ace Spectrum of STEM

Renting Through Science to Justice is an excellent way to celebrate Asexual Visibility Day or International Day of LGBTQIA+ People in STEM. By showcasing the achievements of LGBTQ+ scientists, engineers, and mathematicians, we can inspire future generations and foster a more diverse and equitable STEM community.

Paul Erdős, one of history’s most prolific mathematicians, is often celebrated for his groundbreaking work in number theory, combinatorics, and graph theory. However, his asexual identity is often overlooked. Erdős’s story, along with many others, is featured in our Through Science to Justice exhibit, which showcases the contributions of LGBTQ+ individuals to the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Asexuality, a sexual orientation characterized by a lack of sexual attraction, is often misunderstood and underrepresented. By highlighting figures like Paul Erdős, our exhibit challenges stereotypes and promotes a more inclusive understanding of sexuality and gender identity.

Our exhibit not only highlights the groundbreaking work of these individuals but also sheds light on the challenges they faced due to their sexual orientation or gender identity. By confronting these challenges head-on, we can work towards creating a more inclusive and accepting world.
