Community Check-in + Give an Idea, Take an Idea
Concept
In moments of uncertainty, communities need space to reflect, connect, and act. This installation creates a structured way for participants to assess how they’re feeling, identify shared concerns, and exchange ideas for collective action.
-
Part 1: Community Check-in
Participants use colored stickers to respond to prompts across three areas:
Personal state (e.g., stages of life)
Areas of concern
Strategies for change
Responses build a visual map of community sentiment
Part 2: Give an Idea, Take an Idea
Participants fill out a card describing an action, cause, or commitment
Cards are displayed publicly
Others are invited to take a card that resonates with them
-
Participants move from self-reflection → shared awareness → potential action.
The installation reveals patterns in how a community feels and what it values, while offering tangible pathways for engagement. It reinforces a key idea: you are not alone—and action can begin with something small.
